Do you want to make big savings on your energy bills?

Do you have an old, inefficient boiler?

If the answer to all these questions is yes, you could receive £400 towards the cost of upgrading to a new, high efficiency boiler from the Mayor's new London Boiler Cashback Scheme.

The scheme - which launched on 2 February 2016 - is first-come, first-served. We expect it to be very popular, so please apply soon to avoid disappointment. The London boiler cashback scheme launched by the Mayor of London this year can benefit homeowners and landlords looking to replace their old inefficient boilers with new energy efficient boilers. The voucher scheme will give 6,500 homeowners and private landlords £400 cash back when they replace an old, inefficient boiler with a new efficient A-rated gas boiler or renewable or low carbon heating technology. This is all part of the Mayor of London’s commitment to reduce London’s emissions by 60% by 2025.

Terry is featured in the Professional Heating & Plumbing Installer magazine!

Terry is featured in an article which draws our attention to the growing problem that Gas Safe engineers encounter increasingly. A survey showed that 20% of respondents believe there is an increase in counterfeit parts being used in the service and maintenance of boilers

With cash strapped homeowners demanding the best priced goods and services, heating installers may be put in the difficult position of either fitting a non-genuine part or not getting the job.

Best practice recommended is to inform the customer of the risks involved in using an “aftermarket” part. Parts from a reputable manufacturer will have been tested in the most demanding conditions to ensure durability. Non-genuine parts represent a significant risk to the homeowner and the industry.

Terry is photographed installing a Baxi EcoBlue boiler. Baxi’s process includes rigorous testing of the individual components and well as the functioning mechanism. Their new product introduction process takes several months and can cost millions of pounds, but is vital to ensure each part and product is fit for the job.
