ThermaSkirt™ replaces your radiators and skirting boards in one complete, elegant and cost effective room heating solution. No more radiators and no more skirting to paint. ThermaSkirt™ has been developed to provide a simple to clean, rapidly controllable and energy efficient, heating solution. It is robust, hygienic, safe and secure. 

It works with conventional heat sources such as boilers and renewable energy sources such as heat pumps and solar thermal. It can connect onto existing 2 pipe radiator heating systems with minimal modification.

ThermaSkirt™ is made from an energy efficient aluminium alloy that emits heat that is 5 times better that steel. Heating up quickly like a radiator, it provides heating from the ground up and when on is very efficient and unobtrusive.

An approved ThermaSkirt™ installer, Terry McMurdie is also an approved ThermaSkirt™ Consultant Trainer, undertaking the training of industry professionals in the effective installation of ThermaSkirt™ heating systems.

Underfloor Heating Systems

McMurdie Heating Services have installed numerous Underfloor Heating Systems over the years. Whilst there are a number of manufacturers systems on the market, the basic principle of all types of UFH is the same: 

To warm the floor and create a low temperature heat source with a large surface area. With Underfloor heating you create warmth throughout the entire floor space instead of one piping hot radiator on the wall.

UFH works by pumping low temperature water through pipework under the floor and is ideally suited to high efficiency gas boilers, but can be easily used with any other heat source including Ground Source Heat Pumps.

Whilst Underfloor Heating systems are easiest to install in new builds or complete renovations, kits are available which allow the addition of UFH to be added to existing systems.
